The project ‘Career Days at IBU’ continued on Monday, 4th April 2016 with the presentation of the Macedonian-Turkish Chamber of Commerce (MATTO). The event was honoured with the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Ömür Şölendil, Member of the Constitutional Court of Macedonia, Mr. Salih Murati, Director of Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center Skopje, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Samsakçı, members of the ÜSKÜP Foundation, representatives of the business center, non-governmental organizations and media. Rector of IBU, Prof. Dr. İsmail Kocayusufoğlu and H.E. Ambassador Şölendil had opening remarks at the event and they shared their satisfaction of bringing students and companies together through this project, which intents to connect education and business as complimentary factors for overall welfare in the society. During the panel discussion, the audience was addressed by the President of MATTO, Mr. Tuna Eyup Kahveci, who noted that MATTO resembles IBU in terms of the multinationalism and multiculturalism that they cultivate as institutions and in this direction, he pointed out that MATTO and IBU will remain in close cooperation in fields of common interest. Several companies were part of the panel and they shared the portfolio of their companies and success stories: Mr. Alper Tunga Ersoy, Deputy General Manager of TAV Macedonia, Mr. Asmir Yahoski, owner of Bucko-Petrol, Mrs. Marija Tomeska, representative of Eurolink Osiguruvanje, Mr. Munir Kolashinac, owner of Vardar Express and Mr. Husein Huseini, owner of Arborra.
In the second session, heads and representatives of companies got into direct contact with third year, fourth year and master students and explained concretely in which sectors they conduct their business and what are the interests of their companies. Students were actively engaged and submitted their CVs for intership or job opportunities.
