3RD INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES HELD IN SKOPJE

The 3rd International Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities (IBU-ICSSH2018) under the theme “Sustainable Developments: Trends and Opportunities”, organized by International Balkan University was organized on 4-6 May 2018 in Skopje. During the Opening Ceremony which took place on 4 May 2018, the participants were greeted with welcome speeches by the IBU Rector, Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoglu, the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia, Dr. Arber Ademi, the Minister in charge for foreign investments in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Prof. Dr. Adnan Kahil, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Skopje, H.E. Tulin Erkal Kara.

The Keynote Speaker of the Conference was Prof. Dr. Birol Akgun, President of the Turkish Maarif Foundation who delivered a presentation on the topic “The role of education in sustainable development”.

During the first day of the conference, two joint panel sessions were held:

1) Education

Dr. Bilal SUCUBAŞI, Chief Executive Director, Halkbank AD Skopje

The Gala Dinner of the conference was held at the Kursunlu Han in the Skopje Old Bazaar, in a very pleasant ambient with historic cultural heritage.

During the second day, participants had the opportunity to present their scientific research and papers in five different sessions, in various fields of science and arts.

The IBU-ICSSH2018 was supported by the Turkish Maarif Foundation and Halkbank AD Skopje.
