The former Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey and Member of Parliament from the city of Konya, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Davutoğlu visited the International Balkan University on Wednesday, 27th September 2017. In front of an audience that included representatives of various governmental and non-governmental institutions, business sector, media, academics and students, Dr. Davutoğlu delivered a lecture on the topic “The Future of National and Global (Dis)order: Exclusive Populism Versus inclusive Global Governance”.

During his lecture, Dr. Davutoğlu used the opportunity to convey his congratulations on the success that IBU has achieved as an esteemed higher-education institution in Macedonia and shared his belief that IBU will continue to rise as a synonym of a cultural bridge between the Balkan nations and Turkey.

After the lecture, students had the chance to pose questions to Dr. Davutoğlu with regards to the recent global developments and his views and thoughts on the challenges that the world is facing today. In memory of this significant day, the Rector of IBU, Prof. Dr. İsmail Kocayusufoğlu presented a gift to Dr. Davutoğlu, a painting produced by a student of the Faculty of Art and Design.
