The students from the English Language Teaching (ELT) department at International Balkan University (IBU) attended the @Hamilton House - Akademska Kniga seminar, The Heart of ELT: Adapting to a Changing Landscape.
The purpose of this event was to bring together over 400 current and future English teachers from North Macedonia and the broader Balkan region. IBU ELT students actively participated in various workshops, where they had the opportunity to engage with experienced educators and gain valuable knowledge.
During the seminar, they explored the latest trends in ELT methodology, including the use of AI tools in language learning, the benefits of teaching language in chunks, effective strategies for developing writing skills, and the implementation of the flipped classroom approach. Additionally, they learned how these innovative methods are integrated into coursebooks and other English learning materials developed by Hamilton House.
