The IRO and Faculty of Art and Design Promote Sustainability Through Tote Bag Painting

The International Relations Office (IRO) collaborated with professors Emilija Slavkova and Maja Gjureska from the Faculty of Art and Design to host a creative and sustainable workshop for Erasmus+ guests. The event, titled TOTE TOGETHER, aimed to raise awareness about sustainability through the art of tote bag painting.

Participants were introduced to the importance of sustainable practices, learning how tote bags can promote reusability, reduce the reliance on single-use plastic bags, and provide environmental benefits when made with eco-friendly materials.

Under the guidance of Professor Emilija Slavkova, each participant contributed a unique piece of artwork that came together to form one larger, cohesive design. The theme of the design illustrated the idea that "we are all a puzzle piece" in our collective responsibility for the environment. The final design featured the Earth at its center, symbolizing how individual efforts, when combined, create a significant, global impact.

We look forward to hosting more events that blend creativity with sustainability to make a positive impact on our planet.
