IBU Students Visit the Assembly of North Macedonia

A group of students from International Balkan University had the opportunity to visit the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia. This educational visit offered the students a meaningful insight into the workings of the country’s legislative body. During their time at the Assembly, they were introduced to the structure and day-to-day functioning of the Parliament, gaining a deeper understanding of legislative procedures and the institution’s essential role in upholding democracy and the rule of law.

As part of the visit, the students engaged in an open and sincere dialogue with Mr. Afrim Gashi, the President of the Assembly of North Macedonia. In his address, Mr. Gashi shared words of encouragement, urging the students to remain steadfast in their ambition to make a positive impact on society. He emphasized the importance of never losing sight of the human dimension in their future professional paths, reminding them that empathy and integrity are as crucial as knowledge and expertise.

Concluding his remarks, Mr. Gashi reflected on the significance of such encounters with young people. He expressed that meetings like this one serve as a personal reminder that the greatest investment any society can make is in its youth. It is in the minds and souls of young individuals, he stated, that the hope and vision for a better future take root.
