International Balkan University (IBU) was represented at the Regional Conference on Safe Social Media Behavior for Children, held in Prishtina, Kosovo, by two of its distinguished academic leaders.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Igballe Miftari-Fetishi, Dean of the Faculty of Education (FEDU), and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili-Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS), attended the conference as both institutional representatives and active members of the Women in Science Network.
The conference, which concluded a project supported by EU Technical Assistance to Civil Society Organizations in the Western Balkans and Türkiye (TACS) and the Education Empowerment Initiative (EEI), brought together experts from across the region. Participants included educators, psychologists, civil society representatives, IT specialists, and cybercrime unit officers who examined technology's impact on education.
Notably, the event featured balanced panel discussions that included student perspectives alongside expert analyses, culminating in practical recommendations for addressing online safety challenges.
This participation underscores IBU's commitment to addressing critical digital literacy and child protection issues through regional collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
