As part of their ongoing institutional visit program across Türkiye, the Rector of International Balkan University (IBU), Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, and the President of the Board of Management of IBU, Mr. Recep Süleyman Özdil, held an official meeting with the President of the Measuring, Selection and Placement Center of the Republic of Türkiye (ÖSYM), Prof. Dr. Bayram Ali Ersoy.
The visit included discussions about ÖSYM’s role in national examinations and its possible impact on the wider educational system in Türkiye. The IBU delegation showed interest in learning more about ÖSYM’s operations and considered how its experience might offer useful perspectives for academic development in the Balkan region.
Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar provided an overview of IBU’s academic structure, mentioning its diverse student body and the university’s aim to offer accessible, high-quality education aligned with international approaches. He observed that ÖSYM’s assessment mechanisms could be seen as a valuable example of structured educational evaluation.
Mr. Recep Süleyman Özdil touched on the potential benefits of greater alignment in educational strategies between institutions in Türkiye and the Balkans. He expressed IBU’s intention to continue building collaboration with Turkish academic institutions, pointing to shared educational interests.
