International Balkan University Establishes Strategic Partnership with Digitalpark Teknokent

International Balkan University (IBU) has entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Digitalpark Teknokent, a leading innovation center in Türkiye that unites universities, research institutions, and private sector actors to foster research and development, entrepreneurship, and high-tech industrial advancement.

 

The agreement was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, Rector of International Balkan University, and Prof. Dr. Tahsin Engin, General Manager of Digitalpark Teknokent. This milestone marks the beginning of a dynamic collaboration aimed at promoting academic, scientific, and technological exchange between the two institutions.

 

Vice Rectors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe were also present at the signing ceremony. After the ceremony, Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Lökçe accompanied the guest to a IBU Campus tour, to see different facilities.

 

Through this partnership, both parties have committed to initiating joint activities that encourage the sharing of knowledge and resources among students, researchers, and academic staff. The MoU outlines a mutual intention to develop and implement a broad range of cooperative initiatives, including:

- Student exchange programs

- Academic staff exchange and mobility

- Joint scientific and research projects

- Internship and research placement opportunities for students

- Co-supervision of student theses, projects, and research activities

- Development of collaborative degree programs

- Short-term training and certification programs

- Cultural, sports, and intercultural activities

- Workshops, seminars, and professional development opportunities

 

This agreement reflects IBU’s ongoing commitment to expanding its international cooperation and enhancing academic excellence through meaningful partnerships. By aligning with Digitalpark Teknokent, IBU aims to create new pathways for innovation, practical experience, and global engagement for its students and faculty.
