International Balkan University (IBU) has proudly marked the completion of the first phase of its 2025 Summer Camp Language Program, as the first group of participants successfully received their certificates following a dynamic and enriching 15-day experience.
During the certificate awarding ceremony, Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe addressed the audience with a warm speech, highlighting the importance of international education and cultural exchange; also present at the event was Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi.
Organized by IBU’s Lifelong Learning Center, the program brought together female students from various high schools across Türkiye, offering them a unique opportunity to strengthen their English language skills in an international academic setting.
The two-week program featured 60 hours of intensive English instruction, supported by additional language workshops and practical speaking sessions. Beyond the classroom, participants engaged in a wide range of cultural activities, including thematic film discussions, book talks, civilization seminars, sports, and a group trip to the region.
One of the program’s key strengths lies in its interactive learning environment, where students practiced English with instructors whose native language is not Turkish—encouraging greater fluency and cultural exchange.
As a bridge between Türkiye and the Balkans, the IBU Summer School continues to promote mutual understanding and collaboration among young people in the region. A second group of students, consisting of male participants from different high schools in Türkiye, is set to begin the program later this month.
A large number of students are expected to benefit from this year’s edition, which not only enhances language development, but also supports cross-cultural learning, academic enrichment, and personal growth.
