Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Dr. Lökçe Meets with Local Authorities, Islamic Union, and Alumni in Rožaje

As part of his official visit to Montenegro, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe, Vice Rector of International Balkan University (IBU), visited the town of Rožaje, where he held a series of productive meetings with local authorities, religious representatives, and university alumni.

Dr. Lökçe was welcomed by Mr. Emir Kuč, Deputy Mayor of Rožaje, with whom he discussed the importance of fostering stronger academic and cultural ties between IBU and communities in Rožaje. The meeting also explored potential areas of cooperation aimed at supporting youth development and educational outreach in the region.

The vice rector also met with Mr. Ernard Ramović, president of the Islamic Union of Rožaje. Their conversation centered on shared values in education, inter-institutional cooperation, and the vital role of faith-based organizations in community building and youth engagement.

Concluding his visit, Dr. Lökçe held a warm gathering with IBU alumni residing in Rožaje. The meeting served as a platform to reconnect with graduates, hear about their professional paths, and discuss opportunities for alumni engagement in the university’s future activities.
