International Balkan University Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Macedonian Banking Association

International Balkan University (IBU), through its Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Macedonian Banking Association, an associate member of the European Banking Federation representing the banks and savings houses in North Macedonia.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at IBU, and Mrs. Maja Stevkova-Shterieva, Ph.D., President of the Macedonian Banking Association.

This strategic collaboration aims to enhance the linkage between academic knowledge and professional practice in the banking sector. Through joint initiatives, research activities, and knowledge exchange, the partnership will provide valuable opportunities for students, academics, and industry professionals to advance expertise in banking and finance.

During the signing ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liza Alili Sulejmani, Asst. Prof. Dr. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ceneta Telak Durmishi, together with representatives from the Macedonian Banking Association, outlined the scope of future cooperation. 

Key components of the partnership include internship placements for students in member banks, guest lectures by banking experts, and joint research initiatives on contemporary financial topics.
