The International Balkan University, through its Project and Research Office, proudly took part as a partner institution in the GreenLens: Environmental and Climate Journalism Training Project, coordinated by Anadolu Agency with the support of the European Union, the Turkish National Agency, and the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
The GreenLens Project aimed to strengthen the capacities of young media professionals in the fields of environmental and climate journalism by providing high-level training on the ethical, technical, and strategic dimensions of reporting on global environmental issues.
With the participation of journalists, editors, and communication experts from various countries, the program offered in-depth sessions on strategic communication, media ethics, crisis management, and sustainability in climate reporting. Through a combination of workshops, interactive lectures, and practical exercises, participants had the opportunity to enhance their professional competencies while engaging in dialogue on the role of the media in shaping public awareness and policy action toward a greener future.
Representing our university, Ms. Amra Iseini, Graphic Designer at the IBU Media Center, actively contributed to the program, showcasing IBU’s growing engagement in international initiatives that bridge communication, sustainability, and innovation.
By taking part in the GreenLens Project, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting projects that promote responsible journalism, environmental awareness, and global collaboration key pillars of our vision for education that serves both society and the planet.
