We were pleased to host a distinguished guest lecture at BISTLAB, where students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (IBU) had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the Macedonian monetary and external sector. The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Dijana Janevska Stefanova, Senior Expert in the Monetary Policy and Research Department at the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Mrs. Janevska Stefanova presented on the topic “Balance of Payments and Foreign Trade: The Case of North Macedonia”, within the courses International Monetary Systems and Monetary Theory and Policy, guided by Asst. Prof. Elena Parnardzieva Stanoevska and Asst. Prof. Kristina Velickovska. Her presentation offered a detailed overview of key macroeconomic indicators, emphasizing the relationship between inflationary pressures, balance of payments developments, and the role of foreign reserves.

This academic engagement enriched our students’ understanding of current monetary policy challenges and the country’s interaction with international financial institutions.
We express our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Dijana Janevska Stefanova for her valuable contribution and for sharing her expertise with our academic community.
