We organized an official field visit to the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia in Skopje on 18 December 2025 within the framework of our Parliamentary Law course, providing our students with a valuable opportunity to connect academic learning with the realities of institutional governance. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bejtullah Demiri and Assistant Albulena Ibrahimi, we created a meaningful learning experience that strengthened our students’ understanding of democratic structures and reinforced our commitment to experiential education that prepares future professionals through direct engagement with key national institutions.

During the visit, our students were welcomed by the Speaker of the Assembly, Mr. Afrim Gashi, who addressed their questions and offered insightful reflections on the legislative power as a fundamental pillar of democratic governance. This interaction enabled our students to explore core course concepts through dialogue and to better understand how legislative bodies function in practice, including their role in representation, accountability, and decision-making. We also benefited from a detailed presentation by Deputy Secretary General Mr. Ibish Jusufi, who explained the institutional functioning of the Assembly, adding practical perspective on administrative structure, procedures, and the coordination that supports parliamentary work.

The visit was further enriched by the contribution of the tour guide, Mr. Tome Gushev, who introduced the historical background of the Assembly building, helping our students connect institutional development with historical context and civic identity. Through this comprehensive experience, we strengthened students’ academic motivation and professional awareness while reaffirming our Faculty’s emphasis on learning that is both rigorous and grounded in real-world observation. We remain committed to continuing such educational visits that broaden our students’ horizons, deepen their understanding of public institutions, and support their development as informed, responsible, and engaged members of society.
