We proudly welcomed H.E. Mme. Jiang Xiaoyan, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to North Macedonia, to International Balkan University, accompanied by a distinguished delegation including Ms. Zhou Jin, Professor and young designer Jiang Xiaoxi, renowned fashion director and Lead Director of China International Fashion Week Feng Jinglei, fashion creative director Xu Xingyuan, and young jewelry designer Chen Ziyue, along with embassy representatives Ren Yan (First Secretary), Li Dongqing (Second Secretary), and an official interpreter. The delegation, led by H.E. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan, first met with our Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, Vice Rector Asst. Prof. Ahmet Lökçe, and members of the academic staff of the Faculty of Art and Design in the Senate Room, where we facilitated a productive and forward-looking exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives, opening discussions on future opportunities for institutional collaboration.

During the meeting, we emphasized our strong commitment to internationalization, interdisciplinary education, and the advancement of creative industries. As a gesture of respect and appreciation, our Rector presented an official gift to H.E. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan, symbolizing the strengthening of our academic and cultural ties. We then organized a comprehensive campus tour, introducing the delegation to our modern facilities, innovative learning spaces, and the vibrant academic environment we continue to cultivate, further reinforcing IBU’s position as a dynamic and globally engaged institution.

Following the meeting, the delegation proceeded to the Blue Amphitheatre, where we hosted an inspiring Guest Lecture delivered by the visiting designers and creative leaders. Through this engaging session, we provided our students and academic community with valuable insights into global fashion practices, contemporary design approaches, and international industry dynamics. We remain committed to expanding such meaningful collaborations, creating transformative learning experiences, and strengthening our role as a leading institution that bridges education, creativity, and international cooperation.
