We are pleased to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Faculty of Art and Design at International Balkan University and the Local Community Development Foundation – Štip (LCDF), marking a significant step in expanding our engagement with the wider community. Through this collaboration, we continue to strengthen our mission of connecting academic knowledge with societal impact, while creating new opportunities for our students in the fields of art, design, and applied practice. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a dynamic educational environment that integrates creativity, research, and community-oriented initiatives.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Aleksandra Ristovska, Dean of our Faculty of Art and Design, and Nevenka Longurova Girova, Executive Director of LCDF, establishing a collaborative framework centered on innovation, sustainability, and community development. Following the signing, we held a productive discussion with attendees, including Prof. Maja Gjureska, Coordinator of the Fashion Design Program, and Asst. Prof. Emilija Slavkova, where we explored future opportunities for cooperation and the development of joint projects. This exchange of ideas highlighted our shared vision of creating meaningful initiatives that contribute both to student learning and to the growth of local communities.
Through this cooperation, we will work together on student internships, workshops, and joint projects that support the advancement of creative industries and local development. By providing our students with opportunities to engage directly with real-world challenges and community-driven initiatives, we further reinforce our commitment to experiential learning and professional development. We remain dedicated to building strong partnerships that enhance the quality of education, encourage innovation, and contribute to sustainable community growth, ensuring that our students are equipped to make a positive impact in their future careers.
