The 3rd-year students from the Banking and Finance Department at the IBU’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences had the distinct honor of attending a clinical lecture as part of their "Banking Regulation and Basel Capital Standards" course.
The lecture was delivered by Mrs. Lidija Serafimova-Danevska, an esteemed Advisor from the Banking Regulation and Banks Resolution Department at the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Mrs. Serafimova-Danevska gave an insightful and engaging presentation, offering students a unique opportunity to explore the evolution of capital and risk management practices under the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
The lecture provided in-depth analysis of the Basel Capital Accords (Basel I, Basel II, and Basel III), examining their evolution, key advantages, and potential disadvantages. Special focus was placed on how these accords have been implemented within the banking system of the Republic of North Macedonia.
The session was not only informative but also extremely valuable in helping students better understand the global and local implications of banking regulations. The practical insights shared during the lecture will undoubtedly enhance their academic and professional growth in the field of banking and finance.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Mrs. Serafimova-Danevska for her expert knowledge and the enriching experience she provided to our students.
