International Balkan University proudly hosted the promotion of the Journal of Balkan Architecture (JBA), a remarkable achievement in advancing architectural research and thought leadership in the region.
The event, held on January 29, 2025, brought together notable dignitaries, including Prof. Dr. Lutfi Sunar, Rector of IBU; Mr. Metin Celil, Secretary General; Asst. Prof. Marija Miloshevska Janakieska, Editor-in-Chief of JBA; Mrs. Ivana Beciragić, Coordinator and Editor of Balkan University Press; and Asst. Arbresha Ibrahimi, PhD, Secretariat of JBA.
Prominent members of the JBA Editorial Board, Prof. Aleksandar Andovski and Asst. Prof. Jordan Bojadziev, graced the occasion alongside esteemed authors whose pioneering works are featured in the inaugural issue: Adelina Fejza, Jasna Grujoska Kuneska, Faton Kalisi, Nadica Angova Kolevska, and Zemri Sulejmani. These distinguished contributors offered insightful presentations on their groundbreaking research.
The event’s program featured inspiring speeches by Editorial Board members, contributing authors, and representatives from IBU and Balkan University Press. Attendees, including architects, researchers, academics, and industry experts, engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the journal’s mission, scope, and future contributions to architectural discourse in the Balkans.
