The Faculty of Law at International Balkan University (IBU), in collaboration with High School "Shaip Jusuf," successfully organized a competition focused on Legal Studies for high school students from various institutions across Skopje.
The event took place at the IBU campus and aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of legal education while encouraging academic engagement and competition.
The event commenced with a warm welcome from the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Dacev, who addressed the importance of fostering legal knowledge and interest among young students.
He expressed appreciation for the cooperation with High School "Shaip Jusuf" and emphasized IBU's commitment to promoting educational initiatives that connect high schools with higher education institutions.
Mr. Doan Sulejmanovski, the Director of High School "Shaip Jusuf," along with teachers and students from various participating schools, attended the event. Following the opening remarks, Asst. Sezer Ferhad led an extensive campus tour, offering students and teachers insights into the university's facilities, academic programs, and learning environment. An informative presentation about the Faculty of Law and its activities was also delivered, providing valuable guidance for prospective students.
To enrich the academic experience, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, member of the Faculty of Law and Coordinator of the Legal Clinic, held a comprehensive lecture focusing on juvenile delinquency from a legal perspective. The session provided students with an in-depth understanding of the legal challenges surrounding juvenile cases and encouraged interactive discussions on real-world scenarios.
The event concluded with a certificate award ceremony, recognizing the participation and engagement of all students. The initiative was praised by both the faculty and high school representatives as a meaningful step toward fostering academic cooperation and inspiring future legal professionals.
