IBU Hosts Young Diplomats Academy

International Balkan University (IBU) hosted the Young Diplomats Academy, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Youth Club (TGK) and the Turkish Youth Foundation (TUGVA).

 

The opening ceremony of the academy was held in the Blue Amphi at IBU, attended by the Ambassador of Türkiye to Skopje, H.E. Fatih Ulusoy; IBU Vice-Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi; IBU Secretary General, Mr. Metin Celil; President of TGK, Mr. Sercan Zuber, along with many students and other guests.

 

In his speech, Ambassador Ulusoy emphasized the historical and cultural ties between Türkiye and North Macedonia, highlighting that Türkiye was the first country to recognize North Macedonia under its constitutional name. He reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to supporting North Macedonia since its independence.

 

Vice-Rector Ibrahimi stressed that the goal of diplomacy is to maintain peace by preventing conflicts. She highlighted that the academy provides a comprehensive educational experience in diplomacy and international relations, combining theoretical knowledge, practical application, and diplomatic protocol training.

 

Sercan Zuber, President of the Turkish Youth Club, described the academy as a platform for young people interested in diplomacy, international relations, and law.

 

The academy aims to educate and train future leaders in diplomacy and international relations, offering both theoretical and practical learning experiences.
