IBU Architecture Students Explore Kokino for Conceptual Museum Project

As part of the Architectural Studio 5 course, Assistant Dr. Arbresha Ibrahimi, Assistant Dr. Jasna Grujoska Kuneska, Assistant Faton Kalisi, and Assistant Professor Marija Miloshevska Janakieska, along with third-year architecture students from the Department of Architecture in the Faculty of Engineering, visited the City Museum of Kumanovo and the archaeological site of Kokino.

This visit, realized on March 13, served as a crucial part of their semester-long project, which focuses on designing a conceptual museum for this historically significant site. Revitalizing archaeological sites like Kokino not only preserves cultural heritage but also fosters community engagement and social interaction. By integrating contemporary architectural solutions, students aim to create spaces that both honor history and remain relevant in today's society.

Such initiatives contribute to education, boost tourism, and support local economies, ultimately enriching social life. Through their work, these students are actively participating in the broader discourse on cultural sustainability and the role of architecture in preserving our shared heritage for future generations.
