Faculty of Dental Medicine Marks World Oral Health Day with Student Project and Support from Curaprox

In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the Faculty of Dental Medicine at International Balkan University (IBU) organized a special initiative under the theme "Healthy Teeth, Healthy Mind," bringing together students and Curaprox-Macedonia to raise awareness about the vital connection between oral health and mental well-being.

Led by the Faculty of Dental Medicine, the project highlighted the often-overlooked links between dental hygiene and mental health, emphasizing that oral care is not merely about aesthetics but also plays a key role in cognitive function, self-esteem, and overall well-being. Through interactive activities and educational materials, the event encouraged students to explore the broader implications of dental health in their future professional practice.

Good oral hygiene supports not just physical health, but also clear speech, proper nutrition, and psychological balance. By recognizing this, we empower our students to become advocates for comprehensive patient care. The project was made possible with the support of Curaprox-Macedonia, a global leader in oral health products, whose sponsorship underscored the importance of preventive care in both clinical practice and everyday life.

As part of the initiative, students at the Faculty of Dental Medicine engaged in outreach and awareness efforts, reinforcing the message that a healthy smile can enhance confidence and contribute to a healthier mind. The event served as a platform to promote the role of future dental professionals in shaping public health narratives and fostering long-term habits in oral care.

By connecting oral hygiene with mental wellness, the Faculty of Dental Medicine continues to pave the way for a new generation of dental professionals who understand the importance of holistic health.
