The Faculty of Law at International Balkan University (IBU) successfully organized its weekly event, the "FLAW Student Debate," in the University Courtroom. This event provided an excellent platform for intellectual exchange and critical thinking.
Students from both the affirmative team—Furkan Goren, Elzem Cimen, and Okan Koc—and the negative team—Oguzhan Harmanci, Berke Inal, and Oykum Gelis—engaged in a highly thought-provoking discussion on the timely and relevant topic: “Flexible vs. Rigid Constitutions: The Battle Between Constitutional Adaptability and Stability.” The debate was truly captivating and showcased the students' deep understanding of the subject.
The event was thoughtfully organized by Asst. Entoni Miska, who not only prepared the topic but also coordinated the debate with great insight and professionalism, ensuring a smooth and productive session.
As the judge, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natalija Shikova evaluated the arguments with a discerning eye, praising the students for their legal reasoning, thorough preparation of both affirmative and negative theses, well-developed argumentation, impressive rhetorical skills, and unwavering dedication to defending their positions.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participants for their outstanding efforts in making this debate a success. Their passion and commitment were truly inspiring, and we look forward to witnessing more of these dynamic discussions in the future.
