International Balkan University (IBU) welcomed a delegation from the Turkish Red Crescent during their official visit to North Macedonia. The delegation was received by Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi, who engaged in a constructive meeting with the guests to discuss potential areas of cooperation and the shared mission of humanitarian service and educational collaboration.
During the visit, the Turkish Red Crescent delegation provided insights into their ongoing humanitarian presence in the region and expressed their appreciation for the university's role in fostering academic and social dialogue in the Balkans. The Vice Rector, in turn, emphasized IBU’s commitment to building bridges between Türkiye and North Macedonia, especially through academic partnerships and youth-oriented initiatives.
The meeting highlighted the shared values between the two institutions, including solidarity, social responsibility, and a deep-rooted connection between Türkiye and the Balkan region.
As part of their broader mission in North Macedonia, the Turkish Red Crescent carried out a humanitarian campaign during the 2025 Eid al-Adha, distributing sacrificial meat to families in need across the country.
