Eight dedicated educators from the Vocational Medical School at our University have successfully completed an intensive “Train the Trainers” simulation-based education program, marking a significant step forward in modernizing healthcare teaching practices.
Participants included: Dr. Natalija Dechovski, MA Valentina Gorichanec, MA Katerina Lazarova, MA Daniela Damjanoska Todorovska, MA Gjurgjica Blazevska, Assistant Tanja Trajkovska, Assistant Lejla Asani, and Assistant Gordana Dimeska.
This initiative reflects our University’s commitment to implementing the most ethical and safe teaching methods for future nurses and midwives. Simulation-based learning offers students a realistic clinical experience in a controlled environment, helping them build confidence, strengthen theoretical knowledge, and master practical skills—without compromising patient safety.
The training was delivered by expert educators from SIM Ljubljana, led by Mr. Uroš Zafosnik, and supported by the SESAM (European Association of Simulation Centers) and the Transimmed Network. The program spanned seven intensive days and included both basic and advanced modules, tailored to the needs of our faculty.
In addition to completing the program successfully, our institution signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with SIM Ljubljana, paving the way for future joint projects and regional network development.
As a University and Vocational Medical School, our mission is clear: to cultivate a new generation of highly skilled, competent, and compassionate nurses and midwives—professionals who are ready to meet the demands of real-world clinical practice and contribute meaningfully to the health and well-being of our communities across Macedonia and the broader region.
