Civil engineering is historically the oldest engineering discipline related to the development of civilization and the general functioning of humanity. With the progress of the latest methods, techniques, and software solutions, as well as the more frequent application of innovative technologies, civil engineering is continuously evolving and rising as an essential and highly respected engineering branch in any society.
The Department of Civil Engineering offers a Bachelor Study Program for Civil Engineering with a duration of 4 years and a Master Study Program for Structural Engineering with a duration of 1 year.
The Bachelor study programme is rich with a variety of compulsory and elective courses where the students, through interactive study, close work with the professors and colleagues, obtain general knowledge and skills in the fields of general civil engineering, construction materials, structural mechanics, theory of structures, structural analysis and design, infrastructure and engineering structures, building technologies, geotechnics, and hydrotechnics.
By finishing the Bachelor Studies of Civil Engineering, the student becomes a graduate civil engineer with numerous opportunities for highly paid employment in the country as well as abroad, which is confirmed by the experience of many students who graduated from our department.
The Master Study Program is made to match the highest-ranking programs in Europe, Türkiye, and the world, including courses in the fields of structural and earthquake engineering. After finishing the Master's study programme, the candidate earns the title Master of Technical Sciences in the field of structural engineering, with endless professional and academic national and international job opportunities.
