PSYCHOLOGY AND EDUCATION CLUB ORGANIZED A STUDENT DEBATE

Students of Faculty of Education, who are part of the Psychology and Education Club, hosted an event involving student debate on 16 December 2019 at the IBU Campus. The topic of the debate was: ” Do we have free will or are we governed by determinism?”

A group of 6 students were divided into two groups in defense of either free will or determinism. They were evaluated by professional jury of IBU academic staff: Prof. Shener Bilalli, Prof. Mevludin Ibish and Prof. Bejtulla Demiri, and supported by Head of department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Katerina Mitevska and Asst. Fatime Ziberi.

The event was also addressed by acting Dean of Faculty of Education, Asst. Prof. Dr. Igballe Miftari. At the end, after final conclusions and remarks, the members of the jury decided that the group in defense of Determinism stood stronger on their argumentation and provided more relevant proof. All in all, the event was very well organized and the students were very well prepared in science and knowledge and of course, argumentative feedback. They were all provided with certificates of appreciation at the end. Such events are more than welcomed in the near future as well.
