IBU’s Faculty of Law Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dacev Presents Research at University of Groningen

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nikola Dacev, Dean of the Faculty of Law at International Balkan University (IBU), presented his research titled “The Use of Technology in the Prevention of Illicit Trade in North Macedonia” as part of the COST Action project Globalization, Illicit Trade, Sustainability and Security (GLITSS) at the Faculty of Law, University of Groningen, Netherlands.

 

The presentation was attended by a group of professors and PhD students who showed strong interest in the current efforts to prevent illicit trade in North Macedonia. The session encouraged a dynamic exchange of ideas and policy recommendations, with particular focus on enhancing measures to protect victims—especially in the fight against human trafficking in both countries.

 

During the visit, Prof. Dacev also introduced International Balkan University (IBU), highlighting its academic programs and the opportunities it offers for Erasmus+ student and staff exchanges.

 

Additionally, Prof. Dacev held several meetings with the Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen and other faculty members. These discussions focused on exploring collaborative research opportunities and laying the foundation for potential future partnerships and cooperation agreements between the two institutions.
