Official Procedure for Student Transfers to International Balkan University

About

Transfer of Students:  

Transfer students may be accepted provided that all study level admission requirements are met and subject to the availability of quota. Applicants will be informed of their status after submitting the application and all required documents.

 

Transfer Credit Limits

The University accepts transfer credits up to the following limits: 

  • For Bachelor’s programs (240 ECTS), local students may transfer up to 120 ECTS credits, depending on the matching course content.

*Turkish Citizens: Transfer is limited to 60 ECTS credits to ensure proper degree recognition (denklik) in Türkiye.

*International/Balkan Region students need to check the degree recognition requirements of their respective countries.

 

·         For Bachelor’s programs (300 ECTS), students may transfer up to 120 ECTS credits, depending on the matching course content.

  • For Master’s programs (60 ECTS), students may transfer up to 30 ECTS credits, depending on the matching course content.
  • For Doctoral programs (180ECTS), students may transfer up to 90 ECTS, depending on the matching course content.

 

 

Required Documents:

To enable an academic assessment, all transfer students are required to submit:

 

·         An official transcript from the previous institution

·         Detailed course descriptions or syllabi

 

These documents are mandatory for comparing previous coursework with our study programs.

Requirements differ for local and international students, so be sure to download the correct file.

 

Application Steps

  1. Submit your online application via: https://hello.ibu.edu.mk/apply 
  1. After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email with your login details for the application portal.
  1. Log in to the application portal and upload the required documents via: https://hello.ibu.edu.mk/apply/transfer
    There is a helpful video tutorial is available on the left side of the application portal.

 

Application Status:  

·         After submitting your application, you can track its status through the portal. The status will appear as Pending while your application is being processed. Once the review is complete, the status will change to Checked, and you will receive an email with the admission decision and further instructions.

 

IMPORTANT:

·         Incomplete or inaccurate applications are not considered.

·         The University reserves the right to request additional documents.

·         Admission requirements and procedures vary by program.

·         Submission of an application does not guarantee admission.
