Fostering Strategic Cooperation: IBU Vice Rector Meets with Mayor of Tutin

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance regional collaboration, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe, Vice Rector of the International Balkan University, paid a courtesy visit to Ms. Selma Kučević, Mayor of Tutin, Serbia. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss potential areas of cooperation between the University and the Municipality of Tutin, with a particular focus on future joint initiatives in the fields of education, youth engagement, and community development.

 

The visit was also attended by Mr. Dinko Bejtović, Speaker of the Tutin Municipal Assembly and a distinguished 2017 graduate of IBU’s Department of Public Relations. His presence underscored the growing impact of IBU alumni in leadership roles throughout the region.

 

Mayor Kučević expressed her appreciation for the meaningful contribution IBU has made to the academic and professional development of young people from Tutin. She noted with satisfaction that a significant number of IBU graduates from the municipality are currently serving in key positions locally and nationally. Mayor Kučević emphasized that increasing student mobility from Tutin to IBU would serve as a catalyst for strengthening educational and cultural ties between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Serbia.

 

This visit reflects the University’s ongoing commitment to building bridges across the region through strategic partnerships and academic excellence.
