Today, we proudly opened the IBU Balkan Sports Park, modern and multifunctional sports facility designed to elevate student life, promote physical well-being, and strengthen our campus community.
The ceremony was led by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, who emphasized IBU’s dedication to expanding high-quality campus infrastructure and fostering an environment where students can grow academically, socially, and physically. In his address, he also expressed sincere gratitude to the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, the Union of Turkic World Municipalities, and the Konya Selçuklu Municipality for their invaluable contributions and support in bringing this significant project to life.
We were honored by the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to North Macedonia, H.E. Fatih Ulusoy, followed by the esteemed members of our Management Board, as well as distinguished political representatives, members of the diplomatic community, and our University leadership, including vice-rectors, deans, academic and administrative staff and together with our students, whose energy and enthusiasm enriched the ceremony.
The opening featured sports activities, interactive games, and vibrant performances that reflected the dynamic spirit of our University. As part of the event, we also gathered students’ first impressions, expectations, and excitement regarding the opportunities the Balkan Sports Park will bring to campus life.
Through this opening, we continue to advance our mission as a modern, student-centered institution committed to innovation, community engagement, and long-term development.
