We were honored to host our Traditional Press Breakfast, a meaningful annual gathering that strengthens our relations with the North Macedonian media community and reaffirms our commitment to transparency, institutional openness, and active dialogue. This year’s event brought together respected media representatives and partners, creating a dedicated space for constructive discussion, networking, and direct communication regarding our strategic direction for the upcoming academic period.

The program began with a warm networking breakfast, where guests engaged informally with members of our University leadership. This welcoming environment encouraged genuine conversation on current initiatives, future priorities, and opportunities for continued cooperation between International Balkan University and the national media sector.

This year’s event was attended by our Rector, Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar; Vice Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Lökçe; Vice Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish; General Secretary, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Seyhan Murtezan Ibrahimi; and Head of the Media Center, Erdem İşler. Their participation emphasized our dedication to institutional transparency, responsible communication, and meaningful engagement with journalists and media professionals across North Macedonia.

In the opening remarks, we expressed our sincere appreciation for the longstanding cooperation between International Balkan University and the North Macedonian media community. We highlighted the critical role of journalists in shaping informed public understanding, promoting social responsibility, and supporting our mission as a growing institution of higher education. The University underscored the importance of open dialogue and consistent communication in fostering trust, accountability, and shared progress.

The formal agenda continued with a comprehensive presentation by Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar, who outlined our key institutional priorities, ongoing development projects, and strategic vision for strengthening the University’s regional and international presence. His briefing offered a detailed overview of academic achievements, infrastructural investments, and transformative initiatives designed to enhance the quality of education, expand research opportunities, and further elevate the student experience.

A dedicated Q&A session followed, allowing media representatives to engage directly with our leadership and pose questions on academic programs, institutional strategy, and long-term development plans. This open and insightful discussion reaffirmed our commitment to transparent communication and responsiveness to the interests of the wider public.

To conclude the event, we invited guests on a guided campus tour, offering them the opportunity to explore our facilities and experience our academic environment firsthand. The tour provided deeper insight into the University’s ongoing growth, its modern infrastructure, and the dynamic atmosphere that defines student and academic life at IBU.

The Traditional Press Breakfast once again demonstrated our dedication to fostering a strong, collaborative relationship with the North Macedonian media community. We extend our sincere appreciation to all participants for their presence and contributions, and we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to academic excellence, institutional transparency, and meaningful engagement with our partners across the region.
