We proudly welcomed distinguished scholars in ethics, bioethics, and philosophy from across Europe to our campus for a high-level academic gathering dedicated to advancing intellectual dialogue and fostering international collaboration. Organized by Prof. Dr. Bejtulla Demiri and Prof. Dr. Kire Sharlamanov, the event brought together prominent academics for meaningful discussions on contemporary issues shaping the fields of ethics and bioethics. By hosting this important meeting, we once again demonstrated our strong institutional commitment to serving as a regional hub for scholarly exchange, interdisciplinary engagement, and critical reflection on pressing societal and moral challenges.
During the visit, our Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, introduced our guests to IBU’s academic programs, institutional capacity, and organizational structure, emphasizing the strategic importance of our applied programs and research centers. Through this comprehensive presentation, we highlighted our strengths, vision, and dedication to quality education, innovation, and research excellence. We showcased how our dynamic academic environment supports interdisciplinary initiatives and encourages collaboration across faculties, reinforcing our position as a forward-looking university that integrates theoretical inquiry with practical impact.
The gathering was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Željko Kaluđerović from the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Philosophy (Serbia); Prof. Dr. Bojan Žalec and Prof. Dr. Roman Globokar from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Theology (Slovenia); Prof. Dr. Dejan Donev from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, Faculty of Philosophy (North Macedonia); and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivica Kelam from the University of Osijek, Faculty of Education (Croatia).
