We proudly organized a field visit for our third-year students from the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences to the premises of the State Statistical Office of the Republic of North Macedonia, as part of the Research Methods for Social Sciences course. Guided by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luljeta Sadiku and Assistant Edita Mustafa, this initiative reflects our strong commitment to experiential learning and the integration of academic knowledge with institutional practice. By creating opportunities for our students to engage directly with national institutions, we continue to enhance their academic journey and reinforce our role as a forward-looking university dedicated to practical and impactful education.
During the visit, we were honored to host a clinical lecture delivered by Teona Radeska and Pavlinka Nikolova from the Department for Statistical and Mathematical Methods, who provided valuable insights into key methodological concepts. The session focused on essential topics such as sampling techniques, data collection processes, and data editing, offering students a comprehensive understanding of how statistical methodologies are applied in real-world contexts. Through this engagement, we ensured that our students were exposed to professional practices that deepen their understanding of research design and data-driven analysis.
Throughout the program, our students actively engaged with the content, gaining practical knowledge supported by concrete examples and real institutional experiences. This visit significantly enhanced their preparedness for conducting independent research, particularly in collecting primary data and effectively utilizing secondary data provided by official sources. By fostering such collaborations, we continue to strengthen our commitment to quality education, innovation, and student development, while building meaningful connections between academia and public institutions that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and professional competencies.
