IBU Explores Future Collaboration Opportunities with the Municipality of Debar

We continue to strengthen our engagement with local communities and public institutions through meaningful partnerships that contribute to educational development and social impact. As part of this commitment, our Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ebru Ibish, paid an official visit to the Municipality of Debar, where she was warmly welcomed by the Mayor of Debar, Mr. Fisnik Mela. The visit provided an important opportunity to exchange ideas and explore new avenues for cooperation that can create lasting benefits for both our students and the wider community.

During the meeting, productive discussions were held regarding the potential establishment of a formal partnership between International Balkan University and the Municipality of Debar through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding. The conversation focused on developing collaborative initiatives in areas of mutual interest, including academic and professional workshops, educational programs, community-oriented projects, and various activities designed to enhance learning opportunities and practical engagement for students. Both institutions emphasized the importance of building strong connections between higher education and local communities in order to address contemporary challenges and support sustainable development.

At International Balkan University, we highly value partnerships that foster innovation, knowledge exchange, and community engagement. This visit reflects our ongoing dedication to expanding cooperation with public institutions and creating opportunities that enrich the educational experience of our students while contributing positively to society. We look forward to further developing this promising relationship and implementing future initiatives that strengthen academic excellence, professional development, and regional collaboration.
