IBU Brings Students Together with Daily Iftar Dinners During Ramadan

International Balkan University (IBU) continues to embrace the spiritual atmosphere of Ramadan by organizing daily iftar dinners for its students. The initiative, which takes place on campus, has been met with great enthusiasm, once again highlighting IBU’s student-centered vision.

IBU Rector Prof. Dr. Lütfi Sunar joined students for the first iftar organized at campus, personally engaging with them and showing his support. Before the iftar, he visited tables, conversed with students, and took the opportunity to learn about both their academic and personal experiences.

Each evening, around 250 students receive warm meals, fostering a sense of unity and togetherness. Students from Türkiye, North Macedonia, the Balkans, and various other countries gather at the same table, turning the iftar into a beautiful display of cultural exchange and harmony.

IBU’s meaningful Ramadan initiative has been warmly welcomed by students, especially those with late classes who appreciate the university’s efforts to provide them with a communal iftar setting. By supporting students both academically and socially, IBU continues to set an example in higher education.

The iftar dinners are made possible through generous donations from benefactors, ensuring that they do not place any financial burden on the university’s budget. Through this initiative, IBU not only strengthens its commitment to education but also reinforces the values of solidarity and generosity, further distinguishing itself as a student-friendly institution.
