In honor of World Autism Awareness Day, the Psychology and Education Club at International Balkan University (IBU) had the privilege of visiting the kindergarten "Dua Ylberin," where we spent a meaningful and heartwarming day with the children. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, joy, and a spirit of inclusivity, as we engaged in activities designed to foster understanding and empathy.
Throughout the day, we participated in a variety of interactive activities, including drawing, coloring, and creative play. These activities served as a powerful tool for building connections, bridging communication gaps, and promoting self-expression. By embracing creativity, we were able to create an environment where the children felt safe, valued, and heard, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
Our visit was not just about raising awareness but also about fostering a sense of community and support. We are incredibly grateful for the warm welcome we received from the staff at "Dua Ylberin," whose dedication to creating a nurturing space for these children is truly inspiring. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the wonderful teachers and staff who made this event possible.
Most importantly, we want to express our sincere gratitude to the amazing children who welcomed us with open arms. Their infectious smiles, boundless energy, and unique perspectives filled our day with joy and inspiration. It is moments like these that remind us of the importance of inclusion and the power of small actions in making a big difference. We left the day with full hearts, knowing that we had made a meaningful contribution to raising awareness and supporting the incredible children and families who live with autism.
