A group of students from the International Balkan University (IBU), accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Natalija Shikova and Assistant Omer Ulutaş, actively participated in a specialized workshop for law and social science students titled “The Ombudsman in the Protection of the Right to Good Administration.”
During the workshop, Prof. Shikova presented her research on the role of the Ombudsman, offering participants a comprehensive overview of the right to good administration. Her presentation set the foundation for a hands-on session where students from various universities across the country explored techniques for drafting effective complaints to the Ombudsman.
Under the guidance of experienced practitioners and legal experts, students worked in teams to prepare and present their complaints. The activity not only demonstrated their practical understanding of human rights but also reinforced the importance of civic engagement in public administration.
IBU students showcased a strong commitment to legal principles and the promotion of good governance, reflecting the university's dedication to academic excellence and real-world application.
The event was organized as part of the project “Promoting Good Governance and Public Administration Reform,” implemented by the Center for Change Management (CUP) with support from the National Endowment for Democracy.
