About Department

The doctoral study program in Psychology has a particular focus on developing skills that will enable doctoral candidates to objectively, critically, and systematically monitor and study the latest scientific trends in the field of psychology. Candidates who obtain the title of Doctor of Science in Psychology will be equipped to work as psychologists, teachers/professors, and professional scientific researchers who will meet the teaching needs in higher education institutions and beyond.

General Requirements
  • Have completed a second cycle of studies with a minimum of 300 ECTS credits accumulated
  • Have achieved a minimum GPA of 7.00 from their previous higher education (first and second cycle)
  • Completed prior higher education in the same or similar scientific field as the third cycle program
  • A scientific-preparatory program may be applied for candidates from different academic backgrounds
  • Excellent knowledge of English (min. level B1 according to the CEFR)
  • Submit two recommendation letters from qualified referees
