Researcher
Mare Ushkovska is an assistant professor at the Department of Political Science at the International Balkan University in Skopje. She holds a PhD in International Law from “Ss. Cyril and Methodius University” in Skopje, a MA in Diplomacy and International Relations from the same university, as well as a MSc in Public Policy from University College London, United Kingdom. Her research interests include topics on global power politics, self-determination and independence movements, European Union integration, EU foreign policy, Western Balkans politics, and public diplomacy. Dr. Ushkovska is a former research fellow of EUROPEUM Institute for European Policy in Prague and the Council for European Studies. She’s been a contributor for the EU Observer, Al Jazeera, and the World Poltics Review.
